Hydrotherapy Pools!

Being an excellent player I got know about Water therapy it’s excellent and most important for a player recovery. Now by emphasizing less on joints I can recover quickly as my coach fitness coach has asked me to turn to swimming pools.

However I got the following benefits from Water therapy:

Improved balance and strength- water buoyancy helps me in gaining this.

Strengthening and conditioning of an injury- by water resistance by means of gentle friction.

Improved Heart and Lung functioning- Aquatic exercise a very useful way to maintain and strengthen heart and lung functioning. This pressure effect also aids in improving muscle blood flow.

Vanishing-end swimming pools

Since I had a small area for my pool I have asked my pool owners to design a pool with vanishing end or of an infinite range. My pool looks stunning and shows replica of a bigger pool.

This latest trend of this kind of swimming pool design gives me an opportunity to get an infinity pool. A pool which looks wide but is actually not!

Movable swimming pool floors!!

People are running short of space in UK. The option available for them is movable pool. Now they can turn their pool to a parking space or a dance floor. Whether it is used for fitness or leisure, the introduction of swimming pool offers many benefits.

The movable swimming pool floor uses a buoyancy system to float it up to the pool surface, where it is locked securely into position. When submerged, the floor is held in place by hydraulically controlled cables. Releasing the cables allows the floor to rise up before locking into position. When locked in place, the floor blends into the marble, mosaic, terrazzo or other surrounding floor covering.

Disinfectant works!

Since I got a disinfectant installed at my pool last year I was not sure whether it works or not? But I thought rather asking I should give it a try. Now after a year I can say that disinfectant works. You must give it a try!

However disinfectant should be selected keeping in mind the following grounds. They should be harmless and non-irritating to swimmers and attendants. They must be active in small concentrations and remain their activity for a long time.
Contrary to drinking water disinfectants, disinfectants for swimming pool treatment must be active in the pool itself, because pollutions and pathogenic micro-organisms are constantly added to the water. Therefore the water has to maintain a residual disinfectant concentration. The disinfectant must be easily traced and measured and should be safe to use.

From wild flower garden to a swimming pool…

My weed patch look tamed instead of ‘wild flower garden’ in my pool… I would prefer something to swim in ...Old pool with an exact replica created from Shotcrete concrete looks marvelous to my eyes. ever my pool contractor took the following procedures as in case of concrete pools the material determines the shape of the pool rather than any sort of shell.

My pool contractor dug the hole first then he drew a grid pattern of steel rebar on the floor and walls. Next is the electrical plumbing and it was grounded such that now the electricity flows to the ground and away from pool users.

The next step was to spray gunite behind and around the rebar , keeping in mind the floor and walls to be of the correct width. When the gunite spray has been completed, coping is installed. Coping is the rim that caps the top of the walls, making a smooth transition from the pool and deck or lawn. It can be made out of bricks, concrete blocks, or another material, so long as it slopes and water drains away from the pool.

Finally, the gunite must cure as left for about a week before it can support the coat of finish which was made from plaster or a combination aggregate. You may opt for adding a few rows of ceramic tile on the portion of the wall that is revealed above the water line.

As soon as the plaster has been applied, the pool is filled. You actually do this before it dries completely, as curing is accomplished under water. You have to be careful with the filling so the flow of water doesn't mar the finish. It's best to lay the hose (with metal parts wrapped with rags) gently in the bottom.

Now I have a Technology pool!

I have updated my outdoor swimming pool with the latest technology. I have a movable floor pool now the same space can be used for parking my car.

Just a press of button on my remote gave me space to park my car. Next I have to get my indoor swimming pool inbuilt with the same technology so that I can get a dance floor to party hard.

It was nice to get the latest technology in my pool installed…..

Feel safe in your swimming pool

Since the summers are arriving and I was ready with my pool to take a dip. My friend made me aware to take safety precautions before I get my children to the pool. So I asked my pool contractor to install a wall around the pool.

My pool has a power safety cover which can easily be opened and closed. This provides a high safety cover to my three year old son.

I have removed all the flotation devices acting as supervision for my child and is supervising myself.
